Created the Cost FACTS (Factors, Analogies, CER’s & Tools/Studies) Group, a networking forum of over 600 cost & acquisition professionals. Cost FACTS is a community engaging social media to facilitate knowledge sharing/discussion throughout the acquisition/cost community. He was recognized with the prestigious MITRE President's Award in 2014 for his accomplishments. -Active member of the cost community: Served on the planning committee for the February 2020 MORS Cost Analysis Workshop, meeting on a monthly basis, coordinating with speakers, and developing panelist questions for senior leaders; Co-authored “The Cost of Cybersecurity for IT Systems” briefed to the FY20 Joint IT and Software Cost Forum [Sep 2020]' a founding member of the ICEAA Machine Learning Working Group Steering Committee, hosting ~half-a-dozen training sessions on machine learning for cost estimators; co-lead for the MITRE Cost Community of Practice-Group Lead for 7 personnel since 2016; responsible for performance reviews; mentoring; resolving performance issues; shepherded through the promotions process. Successfully advocated 3 staff for promotions in the last two years.-2020-21: made presentation to the Cost CoP of several “Cost Estimate Kick-Starters” he created to save development time and “kick-start” a cost estimate, including: -LaRRGE [Labor Rate Reference Guide for Estimators] Labor Rates resources including newly added Cyber Labor Rates-GRIPS [GSA Robust Infrastructure Pricing Solutions] The GSA Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions Pricer, or “Turbotax” for Network Solutions, based on GSAs EIS contract.-SLiCE [Software License Cost Estimator] lookup tool containing over 4,000 prices (and growing) for software licenses, training, etc. from the DoD Enterprise Software Initiative, which he translated and normalized into a format useable within SLiCE. He also culled thousands of labor rates from the GSA Highly Adaptive Cybersecurity Services schedule, which includes 344 Vendors.
