Daniel is the Development Services Director for the City of De Pere and is responsible for managing the City's economic development program, promoting growth and development of the City's economic base, assisting in the retention and expansion of existing businesses while vigorously seeking out new businesses for the City. Daniel directly recruits and negotiates with businesses to add new employment growth and experiences to the fabric of the City. As part of the program, he manages the overall economic health of De Pere’s ten Tax Incremental Finance Districts and administers the City’s Revolving Loan Fund. Daniel is also responsible for overseeing the functions of the Planning, Zoning, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Building Inspection and Code Enforcement divisions. Finally, Daniel also serves the staff support staff to the Redevelopment Authority, Plan Commission, Business Improvement District Board, Joint Review Board. He also serves as City liaison to the De Pere Main Street Program (Definitely De Pere), De Pere Chamber, Greater Green Bay Chamber, Brown County Plan Commission, and other public and private groups as needed.

Daniel served as the Planning and Community Development Division Manger for Vierbicher Associates Inc.In the role, Daniel oversaw a division of urban and regional planners, economic development specialists, landscape architects, and other staff. In addition to managing the Planning and Community Development Team, Daniel is a practicing community development planner with experience and knowledge in integrating participatory approaches to community development. Daniel’s project experience includes comprehensive, downtown, corridor, area, neighborhood, redevelopment, and Tax Increment District (TID) planning. Daniel also has extensive experience in municipal zoning, land divisions, subdivision and site plan review.Daniel has extensive experience in project management, public participation planning, public meeting facilitation, design charrettes, site design, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) mapping, and a variety of economic development efforts.
