    I lead the efforts for computational methods development and analysis for viral genomics. I facilitate several scientific collaborations around Ebola virus genomic analyses. I lead the implementation of portable computational genomic pipelines for use in Africa. I mentor and supervise a number of graduate students in their viral research projects.

I conducted one of the first parasite-based genome-wide association studies and developed a novel approach that combined selection and association methods to identify parasite adaptations to antimalarials. This research is a continuation of work at my previous job and was conducted in the malaria genetics group at the Broad Institute. Thesis defended: July 15, 2013
