World Challenge works in partnership with schools to deliver life changing, expeditions to developing countries, as a means of preparing young people for life. Entrepreneurial thinking is installed through a pre-departure program supporting participants to fund their own expedition.With over 7,000 students travelling on expedition every year, we have a great deal of experience to draw upon. Responsible for writing and implementing regional marketing and business development plans and working in consultation with several different institutions across the University including the Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship.

The Development Office works to secure philanthropic support for the academic priorities of the University of Oxford, through a £3 billon campaign, Oxford Thinking. Working across a range of institutions within the University, the focus included an Individual Giving telethon campaign and stewardship and events with the Bodleian Libraries Development team.

Youth Ambassador for a National Action Plan for Child and Youth Wellbeing titled The Nest, conducted by the Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth (ARACY).Spoke at launch with over 200 partner organisations and coordinated contributions through a workshop. Spoke at Parliament house launch and on national news. Ongoing review and distribution of research.

United Nations Youth Representative for Australia. One year appointment to represent Australian youth to government and UN. Appointed with Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade approval following a five month selection process with over three hundred applicants conducted by UN Youth Australia. Full time but unfunded role requiring organisation of sponsorship and planning of Listening Tour to every state and territory prior to being based in New York.Australia: Developed pitch and secured unprecedented sponsorship including goods in kind, totaling over $100 000 value. Recruited and managed a volunteer team including a Policy Advisor, Media Coordinator, Communications Coordinator and Public Relations Intern provided by UniSA Public Relations degree.Organised over 50 000 km tour through every state and territory, met over 6000 young Australians, conducted workshops and delivered speeches in schools, universities and community groups.Arranged, hosted Senators and spoke at a Parliamentary briefing themed ‘The Power of Youth Participation, Partnerships and Progress in Small and Medium countries in Australasia’. Held at Parliament house in the context of Australia’s United Nations Security Council bid and the International Day for Youth.New York: Addressed the Third Committee of the 67th General Assembly of the United Nations. Contributed to International Youth initiatives, including ‘Post 2015 World We Want‘ campaign and assisted in various mission tasks including Foreign Minister briefing papers and reporting on Third Committee country statements.

Global Poverty Project. A global educational and campaigning organisation that activates citizens to be a part of the global movement to end extreme poverty.Organised event and coordinating speaker training. Provided presentation feedback and mentoring.Related roles: Staff role at Global Festival in New York Central Park, provided instructions on accessing the digital campaigns, for a group of 6000 in the 50 000 strong crowd. Assisted set up and pack up.Supported End of Polio Campaign, filming public health messages by cricketers Wasim Akram and Chandra (2011). Attended UN High Level event (2012) and met Bill Gates. Appeared on AFL field at half time with a Make Poverty History Banner for the ‘Global Poverty Walk’ (2013).

Australia’s largest youth run international development organisation, leading a movement to end poverty through education and campaigns.Corporate Engagement Manager: Engaged local businesses for goods in kind and donations.Promotions Manager for Live Below the Line campaign: Managed team of 6 volunteers. Managed events and fundraising initiatives including engaging corporations. Conducted performance reviews for team. Media spokesperson including national television story.Through Oaktree was selected as a WaterAid Delegate and Sanitation campaign spokesperson for the UN DPI NGO Making Health Global conference, Melbourne (2010).

National Home and Fashion retailer with 50 stores.Delivered email acquisition campaigns, launch and ongoing email to subscribers. Grew database by 800% whilst decreasing cost per acquisition by 30%. Presented $5000 prize and wrote PR media release for competition winner’s story.Developed website capabilities with store locator, secure payment and postage system for online purchase of gift cards. Regularly reported on return on investment for web based initiatives.Coordinated catalogue hosting supplier changeover after cost / benefit analysis. Negotiated to reduce cost with supplier. Achieved unique catalogue visitor increase of 300% whilst decreasing cost per visitor by 15%.Used Adobe Suite for design of visual merchandise, and online and press advertisements. Briefed Graphic Designer for more complex print advertising requirements.Elected as OH&S and Corporate Social Responsibility representative.Assisted design and implementation of fashion launch and various store openings and events.
