About Daniel Reiter

Throughout my life, I've been immersed in the arts, cultivating a deep passion for theatre. After over seven years in school dedicated to refining my craft, I've not only developed a profound appreciation for theatre but also discovered the incredible versatility of my theatre skills. I have come to understand how these skills can be leveraged to help and connect with others, reaching into various aspects of life beyond entertainment. This realization led me to create and develop S.T.A.R. Camp in Lexington, Virginia. Our mission is to empower neurodivergent youth in the Rockbridge Area through opportunities and programming within a sensory-friendly environment that celebrates inclusivity and personal growth. To continue advocating for the arts, I worked with Americans for the Arts, the nation's leading nonprofit organization for advancing the arts and arts education. Through that experience, I contributed to saving over $95 million in arts funding, attended Congressional hearings, met key arts leaders, and led discussions with members of Congress on arts education, its economic impact, and its benefits for veterans.
