BT Enterprise has around 1.2 million customers and serves over half the FTSE 350. The customers range from big household names, government departments and public service organisations, through to SME and start up’s.As Head of External Audit I was responsible for ensuring that BT Enterprise maintained all relevant certifications from the International Organisation for Standardisation. This included but was not limited to ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO27001. I held strategic responsibility for direction-setting, developing and sustaining an effective framework for risk and within BT Enterprise. I was secretariat for the quarterly Audit and Risk Committee board meetings for the CEO. I sat on the Enterprise sustainability forum and represented BT Enterprise across the business maintaining the compliance of our physical products.

Promoted into role I took ownership of managed contract governance and risk for BT Enterprise (previously BT Wholesale and Ventures & BT Business). I led on the implementation of the 3 lines of defence model including both process and controls across the unit. I was responsible for the analysis and modelling of the organisations risk position, presenting this quarterly to the CEO and CFO ahead of its inclusion in the BT annual reporting.

I created a programme of work to maintain BT’s secure government and public sector IT infrastructure platforms, ensuring their continued certification and continuity of business. I conducted a detailed assessment of the maintenance programme, meticulously assessed the associated risks and developed new process models to transform the maintenance into a programme of proactive testing and remediation.I represented BT in meetings with Government Digital Services, managing their expectations and addressing their concerns. I worked with a wide variety of customers across defence, aerospace and government successfully maintaining service while carrying out infrastructure change activities within agreed SLA’s. worked within BT Business and Public Sector and led the processes and controls around the assurance of all B&PS contracts and the internal platforms with a particular focus on those which support the secure products and services provided by the wider organisation.

I management the onboarding of services under BT’s Secure Government Contracts as part of BT's Portfolio and Service Design division. I was charged with ensuring the timely delivery of contracted services within agree timescales and budgets.

Technical Project Manager responsible for software and infrastructure deliveries to support BT Consumer including the 2012 refresh of BT.com and the 2013 launch of BT Sport Digital and online ordering journeys.
