Operations Engineer
Current• Project Team Lead – Axiom Space Station Assembly- Act as point of contact to an international, multidisciplinary team on all matters of MSS robotic interface requirements, dynamic analyses and operations concepts.- Delegate and track project actions within CSA internal departments. - Brief management on project progress.• Project Manager – Free Flyer Capture and Release Analysis- Direct the CSA prime contractor on the development of dynamic analysis methods, specifications and review methodology for capturing free flying spacecraft with the SSRMS.- Act as a point of contact, interfacing with CSA and NASA stakeholders, via local and international boards.- Manage project activities within budgetary allocations.• Mission Planning Team Lead- Mentor junior team members.- Develop internal training processes and certification criteria.- Participate in hiring campaigns and interviews.• MSS Robotic Operator Instructor:- Train NASA and ESA astronauts as well as NASA robotic mission designers and managers on how to operate the Space Station Remote Manipulator System (SSRMS).• Operations Engineer: - Participate in reviews of Mobile Servicing System (MSS) robotic operations procedures for nominal and contingency cases, including flight operations plans and operations concepts.- Establish robotic operational software requirements, delivery schedule and certification documentation. - Provide real time engineering support during robotic operations from the Operations Engineering Center at CSA; this involved on-call and shift-work to provide 24 hour support.- Interface with project leads and industry contractors for technical matters and review of MSS robotic elements design and operations documentation.- Identify record and investigate the progression of MSS Robotic anomalies during simulations and real time operations.- Participate in simulation campaigns.- Prepare post operations reports.
