  Currently I perform all administrative duties including but not limited to engineering, project management, supervising of personnel, operational and security procedures, budgeting, purchasing, job bids, energy management and day to day operations. I provide long range forecasting in 5 year increments for departmental and facility needs. I also provide estimated costs associated with professional engineering services and budget requirements for both capital projects and yearly operational expenses. Responsibilities include supervising workers, overseeing the completion of maintenance work orders, ensuring a high quality of work for the requestor, and managing the staff timesheets. Responsible for ensuring the timely completion of maintenance work orders. Routinely monitors the quality of work completed by the department and works to resolve concerns/complaints throughout the prison. Works in conjunction with the Warden to manage in-house projects. Completes routine inspections of the buildings and grounds, identifying and allowing following up on potential areas of concern. Assists in the identification of capital projects. Develops, implements, monitors, and reports upon preventive maintenance procedures and vehicle maintenance procedures. Responsible for maintenance of spare parts inventory. Assists in the preparation of departmental budgets and monitors department spending. Ensures compliance to departmental procedures for purchasing supplies, service, both non-emergency and emergency. Reviews/approves invoices for services rendered or supplies ordered. Ensures the use of consistent practices in hiring of maintenance personnel, performance evaluations, and reviews disciplinary actions, discharges and promotions in accordance with county policies. Responsible for the communication of operation and facility functions to the Warden. Maintains effective communication and working relationships with County employees. Performs other duties as assigned .
