I am the Founder of EAKO Capital, a business that I initially launched in 2022 to assist clients that were being offboarded by their banks find new trading partners so that they could continue to risk manage their currency exposures both cost-effectively and in a dynamic fashion.This business built upon a career that saw me support corporates, asset managers, and financial institutions whilst working in senior positions for Barclays, BNP Paribas, Nomura and Deutsche Bank.Today, EAKO Capital has grown to provide foreign exchange services directly to companies, asset managers, and individuals that are interested in reducing their transactional costs.We do this in three ways:1. Through the EAKO online platform we service clients directly, providing them with currency accounts, payments services and currency risk management solutions. Here, we pride ourselves on offering the most cost-effective rates within the industry. This is made possible by partnering with leading FinTech solutions providers that are funded by the likes of Santander, Visa, and Google Ventures.2. Via our extensive network of both bank and non-bank FX providers EAKO is well-positioned to help clients find new trading counterparties. This may be helping them access additional trading lines on favourable credit terms or providing them with a wider range of FX options-based solutions that enable them to more cost-effectively manage their financial exposures.3. Finally, through our consulting business we help clients resolve specific issues that they may face. Recent engagements include (a) helping corporates resolve trapped cash issues; and (b) working with Private Equity funds to determine whether deal-contingent hedging solutions presented by their banks were priced sensibly.
