Daniel has a background in Natural Resources Management (Wageningen University, 1998), specialising in grazing systems. He has worked for the Food and Agriculture Organisation, as an entrepreneur in the Democratic Republic of Congo and for Solidaridad Network worldwide. His positions and assignments have focussed on non-wood forest products, aquaculture, agroecology, rangeland management, conservation and rewilding.Daniel currently works as an advisor and guide of social change processes, chiefly in complex sustainability transitions, and accompanies co-creation and implementation of rewilding projects. In Daniel's view, sustainability is fundamentally a psychological challenge. It is about facing who we really are, including everything we'd rather not face. It's about facing our plight rather than hiding behind slick solutions. In this sense, healing the world and healing ourselves are one and the same thing. In order to develop his skills as a guide and process manager, Daniel is enrolled in a three year programme in Jungian Analysis. Daniel lives and works on his farm of seven hectares, where his love for nature, animals and food meet.
