About Daniel Kob

I'm Daniel, a global marketing leader, strategic general manager, enthusiastic communicator, and hands-on entrepreneur. Having driven growth in diverse sectors, including media, marketing, SaaS scaleups, fintech, direct-to-consumer (D2C) ventures, and edtech, I blend creative strategy with analytical insight and empowering leadership. I'm passionate about education, having taught digital marketing to 250,000+ students through bestselling courses on Coursera and Udacity in partnership with Google and Meta.Currently, as SVP Portfolio Growth at RTL Deutschland, I co-lead a venture building unit, managing an investment budget in the double-digit million range. Leveraging brand, performance, content, event and product marketing campaigns and enabling our outbound sales team, we grew the customer base from 100 to 2,000+ across 3 markets. As VP of Marketing at Zeitgold (B2B SaaS), eventually acquired by Deel after Series B, I launched a new brand identity, crafted a SEO-optimized content marketing strategy, and scaled performance marketing (paid search, social, video) from 200 to 1,500 MQLs/month while reducing the cost per MQL by 50%.At online education unicorn Udacity, I led Marketing and PR for the European market, and Business Operations in the US HQ, while also teaching and growing Udacity’s bestselling Digital Marketing certification program.Starting my career journey in 2006 with advertising agency Scholz & Friends (WPP), I transitioned to international media corporate Bertelsmann, where I served as Chief of Staff to the Executive Board of G+J (now RTL) and later as an Entrepreneur in Residence across various Bertelsmann divisions in the US.I hold an MBA from Stanford, graduating as an Arjay Miller Scholar, an MA in Media and PR, and a BA in Media Management.
