My name is Daniel Kouzinets and currently I hold a certificate in IBAM fundamentals of insurance with the goal to complete the IFSE exam by March of 2023. After high school, I began my career in the aviation industry as an aeroplane mechanic, where I gained experience in stressful environments and teamwork. As you may be aware, Covid-19 was a difficult period for the industry, which is when I decided to change careers. When I decided to change my career path to Financial Services, I expected it to be one of the most difficult steps I would have to take in my life. This is not the case; I underestimated how much I would enjoy learning about resolving financial issues for clients and assisting clients in selecting the best insurance package for them.I currently work as a financial services administrator for the Canadian Armed Forces, where I support operations and process claims for CAF members. This position provided me with customer service experience as well as basic SAP knowledge. The military also taught me how to be a leader and solve problems.I will be graduating from Red River College in May of 2023, and I can't wait to grow my personal and professional self. I'm excited to meet other professionals in the same industry and learn more about the opportunities that await me after graduation.
