Senior Accountant - Joint Ventures & Non-Integrated Subsidiaries
Current- Liaison between IBM Accounting and Accounting/Finance of Joint Ventures (JV) and Non-Integrated Subsidiaries (NIS).- Harmonization and standardization of accounting processes in JVs and NISes based on IBM standards.- Accounting assistance during Acquisition of new companies- Agile Advocate and member of Agile guild
Contract Review Analyst - Infrastructure & Oio Contract Review Accounting Spgi,Mea & Grat Specialist
- Applying US GAAP and ASC 606- Pre contract signature revenue/cost/expense recognition advisory.- Post contract signature revenue/cost/expense recognition treatments.- Revenue allocation process specialist- Accounting processes automation subject matter expert- Agile Advocate and member of Agile guildSignificant results:I was working on GRAT (Global revenue allocation tool) automation which is currently being used on local level and after it will be tested on enough cases it will be shared globally. This automation provides saving of around 10% of time spent on GRAT process.Worked on harmonisation of pricing and accounting cooperation which was a long lasting problem and was creating a frustration and time waste on both ends. This process enhancement saved valuable time and energy during the most demanding accounting periods (Quarter close).I helped the team and SMEs to quickly adapt to the merge of TLS (IBM's maintenance) line of business and Hardware line of business. This was mostly achieved by communication with other related departments to understand the possibilities to cooperate better and understand why some processes work the way they do.
Contract Review Analyst - Hw & Oio Contract Review Accounting - Spgi, Mea & Grat Specialist
- Applying US GAAP and ASC 606- Pre contract signature revenue/cost/expense recognition advisory.- Post contract signature revenue/cost/expense recognition treatments.- Revenue allocation process specialist- Accounting processes automation subject matter expert- Agile AdvocateSignificant results: I was a key person in the Pricing process change (the way how Consultings services prices were evaluated from both pricing and accounting perspective). Together with pricing representatives I have analysed the options on how to evaluate these prices and afterwards provided a deep dive research on potential issues/benefits of such change. Subsequently, I showcased that such change would be extremely beneficial to Accounting. I presented those results to HQ Pricing and Accounting leaders (together with my pricing counterparts). My analysis was comprehensive and covered all specifics across the World (not just EMEA). The proposal was accepted and the change was implemented. Workload decrease in this area on the accounting side was around 90%.I was working on WW GRAT (Global revenue allocation tool) development where I covered SME role. I have mapped the whole process from the view of the GRAT performer, and gave opinion on many UI and UX features. Later in the phase of development I was working on automation of multiple processes in the GRAT and better reporting features for management. This project saved hundreds of hours on WW level. In my team I was working on agile stand-ups and was facilitating project meet-ups where teammates suggested potential ideas for automation or optimisation. Based on them we have cancelled / automated or enhanced many processes which eventually helped management to achieve the effectivity set by the company.
Contract Review Analyst - Oio Contract Review Accounting Frn, Ita & Grat
- Applying US GAAP and ASC 606- Pre contract signature revenue/cost/expense recognition advisory.- Post contract signature revenue/cost/expense recognition treatments.Significant results: I was able to get into the GRAT (Global revenue allocation) process which was transferred from Germany to Slovakia in 2018 mostly without the help of my colleagues (left company/ long sick-leave) who took it over from Germany. I achieved the understanding of the process to the extent that I was invited to provide the process mapping presentation for WW developers before the new GRAT tool started to be developed.
