My role is to advance the mission of Shepherd's Table by securing financial support, building relationships with donors and stakeholders, and effectively communicating the organization's 40-year impact to the broader community. I work on strategizing, planning, and executing fundraising efforts while also managing Shepherd's Table's communication strategies. I manage a team of four development and communications professionals. I collaborate with other departments within the organization to ensure alignment between fundraising and programmatic activities. I track fundraising metrics, analyze trends and prepare reports to evaluate the effectiveness of our efforts and to better inform our future strategies and decision-making.

I managed client project work by collaborating with the client and the Scott Circle Communications team to implement strategies for public relations projects and ensure clients received outstanding service. I worked closely with clients, taking the lead on handling the daily account activity – meeting agendas, activity reports, media monitoring, tracking results and producing deliverables to showcase success. I also managed the Purpose PRogram and our intern program. I maintained client contact and managed client account activity such as agendas, activity reports, and wrap up memos. I wrote and edited media and communication materials such as talking points and press releases. I helped developed and then managed the Purpose PRogram, development and communications course for DC nonprofits. Associate I supported the Scott Circle Communication team in implementing PR and communication strategies for client projects. I created and maintained media lists, editorial calendars and media clips for clients. I proactively put together media outreach strategies, pitching media outlets and coordinating media interviews. I wrote and edited media materials such as media alerts, fact sheets, bios and case studies. I continued to recruit and manage interns.PR CoordinatorI was responsible for supporting a broad range of public relations work in order to meet client goals and support the Scott Circle team. I created and maintained targeted media lists for broadcast, radio, print and online outlets. I also maintained and created editorial calendars and media clips for clients. I implemented and assisted in various social media and communication plans for our clients. I also put in to affect our internship program, which included recruiting and managing interns.

Implemented development strategies to ensure continued growth for Suited for Change. I also applied communication plans for the website, social media and any collateral to help consistently articulate Suited for Change’s mission. In addition, I helped create and implement Suited for Change’s annual fundraising plan and assist the Executive Director in developing and maintaining relationships with major individual donors, which included drafting fundraising emails and direct mail letters.
