Hello! I'm Daniel Langley and I love anything that flies! Especially the things that fly by shooting something out backwards at a high velocity. I am a graduate from the University of Washington with a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical & Astronautical Engineering. I am particularly interested in propulsion, and I have a strong academic background on fluid mechanics, including plasmas. During my time at UW I was a member of UW's Society for Advanced Rocket Propulsion which designs and builds high powered rockets. I was on the propulsion subteam and worked on the System Interconnects project which deals with rocket-related plumbing systems. I have contributed to the plumbing of the Horizontal Test Stand which will be used to test future liquid bipropellant engines, and designed an Quick Disconnect actuator to remotely disconnect Ox and Helium fill lines.For my Senior Capstone project I had the pleasure of working with a team of 6 to design build and test an electric centrifugal pump for SARP's future rocket engines. This project will lay the groundwork for future SARP members to be able to fully implement an electric pump onto a rocket capable of reaching the edge of space. This passion extends to the engineering projects I have worked on, and I have honed the ability for designing assemblies such that they can actually be manufactured.Feel free to reach out about anything, I always love to talk about aerospace!
