In my current role as CEO of Empowered LLC, I am responsible for daily operations and strategic oversight of vibrant martial arts academy. During two decades of operation I handled the rebranding from our original Olympic Training Center (Remarck Sport Taekwondo) to Dynamis Academy in 2016 and now Empowered Martial Arts Academy in 2022. As a 5th Degree Master Instructor I teach all of the classes at every age level. As CEO, I have personally served 500+ families and trained 20+ employees to boost productivity and performance. The most difficult period in our 20-year operation has been weathering the pandemic. After losing all of our membership during lockdown I formed a community partnership with a local church and was able to rebuild our membership to pre-pandemic levels. One of my key roles under Remarck Sport Taekwondo was to facilitate in the development of three Olympic medalists, four World Champions, and 20 Virginia National Champions while mentoring Junior Olympic students. I wrote business and marketing plans for rapid accomplishment of targeted goals and was charged with managing construction of commercial space in shopping center within time and budget constraints. In addition, I streamlined bookkeeping methodology for accuracy and detail in order to administer high-level project budgets. Below are my Key Achievements in this role:• Secured rental contracts and lease extensions through efficient negotiations.• Increased membership by 200% by launching cyber school website and distance learning program/pandemic learning pods during Covid lockdown.• Organized and distributed Olympic Solidarity Scholarships as well as participated in Olympic Solidarity Coaching exchange program.• Delivered expert-level career and college admissions guidance to students by serving as college consultant.• Expanded services to include summer and spring camps, additional martial arts course offerings, and before and after school programs.
