HCPC accredited role in a UKAS accredited cellular pathology laboratory involving team leading, working within a team and individual working. Practical skills include microtomy, cryotomy, embedding, use of autostainers, and manual staining (including special stains and IMF). I am also required to QC work produced and train staff in the various practical.

John Radcliffe Hospital, Headington

Full-time laboratory staff training in microtomy and embedding of tissues as well as aiding in the every day running of the lab including tasks such as filing, maintaining and working with the staining and cover slipping machines and dealing with post mortem samples in accordance with the Human Tissue Act.

Part-time staff at La Trappiste bar and restaurant involving waitressing, bar work and work at the coffee machine. Work required a good knowledge of Belgian beers enabling youto make recommendations to customers. Good teamwork and communication with both colleaguesand customers was required in order to maintain a smooth service. Till training was provided.
