My main role is to co-ordinate the transfer company making sure clients needs are clearly established and met on time, alongside this I provide admin support to the rest of the production company, greet clients and answer and direct the phone quickly and efficiently. I have improved my knowledge of post-production and the technical elements to provide accurate quotes for clients by establishing their needs, that suit their budgets and deadline by phone, e-mail and in person, I use my communication skills to liaise between clients, technical staff and suppliers to confirm bookings, ensure the clients needs are met successfully, brief technical staff correctly, and communicate the progress of the job through to completion. While scheduling and organising projects for Soho Transfer, I also create customer invoices, take payments, reconcile the account, petty cash reconciliation, chase account holders payments, replenish the tape stock and office stationary, book couriers, help to arrange travel for shoots, and complete any other ad hoc tasks to support the production team.This role has increased my ability to prioritize my work efficiently, improving my time management skills and my ability to multi-task. I am determined to keep developing my knowledge further in post-production and the production process to enhance my future career development.

After completing work experience at Sequence and becoming a trusted and reliable runner I was employed as Bookings Assistant at Sequence Post Production after graduating University. At Sequence I am the first point of contact for clients, and I strive to fulfil all client needs so they can complete their work in the best working environment possible. I have developed my knowledge of the post production workflow which has expanded my responsibilities while working as bookings assistant from client hospitality to now helping to schedule jobs, booking MCR jobs, booking couriers, equipment and freelance editors, library management, administrative support, and office management. I use my communication, enthusiasm, initiative and organisational skills to liaise with the rest of the team to ensure the smooth running of all projects. I am determined to keep developing my knowledge further in post-production to enhance my future career development.

While working as a runner at Sequence I worked wit the Post Producer to learn about the logistics of post-production. I had day-to-day runner jobs to complete but would also fulfil extras jobs delegated to me by the rest of the team such as admin and booking couriers. This improved my skills in multi-tasking as I learnt how to prioritise jobs.

Stratford

During the summer I worked at the Olympic Stadium as a utilities assistant, where I helped as a camera assistant developing my knowledge of the practical side of television. I worked closely with the logistics manager, helping to complete logistical duties, such as making sure everyone had signed in to the compound, delivering schedules and other office runner jobs. This helped to develop my efficiency in completing tasks effectively and to prioritise. I coordinated other logistic assistants to help complete tasks in the most efficient way. This work enhanced my communication, organisational, and team working skills and the ability to work within a range of different roles in the television industry, with different ages and ethnicities.
