With warmth, humor, gentleness and the ability to be “real,” I aim to connect deeply with young people who may feel unheard or unworthy. My experience working with children and teens in the foster care system as well as young people on the autism spectrum has allowed me to understand that traumatic experiences comes in all shapes and sizes, that no individual or family is the same, and that all are worthy of true compassion, connection and acceptance.I approach therapy using family systems and attachment styles, interpersonal neurobiology, mindfulness and lots of play (yes, even with adults!). You can expect your therapy space to be safe for learning and exploration, and where you are fully and compassionately heard and seen. In session, I am able to see what your strengths are and like to draw them out via expressive modalities, such as art, movement, writing and nature. To me, this solidifies what someone won't (or is unable to) say in words - it is evidence that the mind and body are connected and that deep down, their expression is saying something that matters and is worthy of care and attention.

• Completed over 600 internship hours (259 direct) conducting weekly individual in-home counseling with children, adolescents, and legal guardians within the foster care system under the supervision of an LPC-S, MHSP. • Practiced awareness of somatic, emotional and behavioral reactions to trauma, and utilized therapeutic techniques to teach positive, adaptive and appropriate coping skills. • Provided play therapy techniques to clients aged 14 years and younger using the Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) approach. • Conducted biopsychosocial intake assessments, PTSD assessments, and substance use assessments. • Maintained up-to-date process notes, developed treatment plans, and created diagnostic summaries for each client. • Attended and participated in monthly case management meetings with other social, physical and mental health professionals assigned to each client’s case.

• Completed over 100 practicum hours (44 direct) conducting weekly individual and group counseling with public school students aged 5 years – 10 years under the supervision of an LMSW.• Utilized art and play therapy techniques to build rapport and connection with clients.• Provided social skills and emotional awareness and regulation techniques in a developmentally appropriate way, tailored to each child or group. • Maintained process notes and developed treatment plans and activities. • Observed in-vivo classroom behavior to tailor treatment for both clients and teachers.

• Personally assisted young adults with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities to become independent in a professional work setting. • Observed and determined skills necessary for specific work environments, and provided appropriately paced support to establish independence. • Encouraged and promoted development of self-confidence and personal growth through individualized skill practice. • Empowered and prepared students for social, emotional, and occupational success in a paid part-time or full-time job upon graduation from the Next Steps program.

• Provided Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. • Developed innovative activities to maintain client’s motivation. • Analyzed and implemented data to provide individualized therapeutic interventions. • Coordinated and connected between case managers, supervisors, school faculty and family to facilitate and maintain holistic care. • Prepared children to more confidently interact socially, emotionally, and physically appropriate ways in their environment.
