Co-Founded the R.I.C.H. (Restoring Inner City Hope) Center and programmatic hub located in South Baltimore’s Cherry Hill Community. The goal of R.I.C.H. is to provide a safe space to host programmatic services and resources for community stakeholders (youth and adults) in efforts to assist with sustaining safe and healthy neighborhoods.In 2011, in response to senseless tragedies, we had an idea to organize a prayer walk in the Cherry Hill neighborhood of Baltimore City. For years, the small community was viewed in a negative light by nonresidents, it was viewed as a dark place. Over the course of 8 years this effort evolve into the R.I.C.H - Restoring Inner City Hope team that continued to focus on the residents of Cherry Hill, but also provided a wealth or resources and opportunities for youth and young adults across the city. R.I.C.H continues to honor its roots by holding an annual prayer walk, focused on creating a message of hope, but has expanded its outreach by offering haircuts and school supplies in the fall, and hosting Reality Check events with specialized programming for young boys/men and young girls/women throughout the year. R.I.C.H strengthens and supports the community on a local and national level through numerous outreach programs, from clothing drives, disaster relief efforts, collaboration with local and national business partners and so much more.
