As a Social Work Practicum student I assisted in various programs within the community center such as After School Fun, food pantry, community garden and community gatherings. Assisted in surveys and focus groups for the food pantry for the goal of food security. Provided leadership and planned activities for the students, Kindergarten – sixth grade, at After School Fun.

As New Student Coordinator I assisted in planning activities for prospective students on over night visits. Planned orientation for 450 new students in the Fall of 2012 and 35 new students in the Spring of 2013 which included reserving space, catering, guest speakers, coordinating service project, and managing volunteers. Assisted in training 35 student leaders for the peer mentor position to help lead the First year Experience program.

As Resident Assistant build relationships with male and female students. Teamed with other RAs and Discipleship Coordinators, plan floor, hall, and campus activities to foster physical, social, emotional and spiritual growth. Enforce university lifestyle expectations through role-modeling.

Supervise and support a staff through staff meetings, daily support and one on one meetings. Made key community contacts and maintained their relationship. Made relationships with the new group of high school students each week. Manage a large budget with integrity.

Saint John’s Hospice and Home Care Anderson, IN As a Social Work Intern conducted home visits to check on the client as well as the caregivers. Provide assistant and resources when appropriate.

Skilled in customer service. Trained new employees on various positions. Was knowledgeable about all positions and was a team member.

As Social Work Intern observe case management and counseling sessions that support adult women to re-acclimate into community, securing employment and even reuniting families. Gained grant writing knowledge and proofed grants for submission.

As Social Work Intern conducted intake and depression screening as well as short and long term cognitive re-attainment. Managed paperwork for medical staff as well as submission to Medicaid/Medicare
