Key responsibilities of the committee include review of osteopathic programs in Australia and to determine whether they meet the required accreditation standards.

Contracted in August 2019 to develop the written examination for the AOAC- Quality and Skills Assessment Committee (QSAC). The AOAC QSAC conducts assessments of the skills and qualifications held by overseas trained osteopaths and also assesses internationally qualified osteopaths seeking to work in Australia.The brief was to write a multiple choice and extended matching question examination that osteopathy candidates from around the world will complete as part of the application to become a registered osteopath in Australia. Topics included legal and regulatory practice in Australia, informed consent, musculoskeletal conditions, imaging pathways, referral pathways, red flag identification and management and evidence based management.The document developed included answers and justification with references.
