During this internship, I rotated through various departments of the organization, including Sales, People, Marketing, Beverage, Technology, and Finance. This provided me an immersive experience in the hospitality industry, while also allowing me to apply key course concepts from the Human & Organizational Development major to my work experience.

ClearView’s Summer Analyst Internship Program allowed me to experience life as a strategy consultant and included training designed to promote the development of commercial-centric analytical skills as well as to provide education about the life sciences industry. I played integral roles in two different projects, took ownership of particular workstreams, and managed client facing deliverables under the mentorship of senior team members.

I worked full-time as a CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls) Intern at Surface Oncology during the Spring 2021 semester. Responsibilities of this role include writing of the SRF813 IND, editing existing template documents to make them applicable for SRF813, reviewing documents/references to make sure the data is identical to the IND sections to the information in the reports, insuring that such references are stored in the IND reference section, and changing a few figures to reflect the processes related to the making drug substance and drug product.

I worked as a QA Document Coordinator Intern at Surface Oncology part-time during the Fall 2020 semester. In this role, I assisted in building the Quality Document Archive through the creation of folder structure, organization of documents, and movement of documents into appropriate folders. I also used DocuSign software (Part 11 Module enabled) to obtain signatures and organize electronic documents.

I worked as a Business Development Intern full time in Summer 2020. In this internship, I helped set up the Salesforce database to organize and track external interactions, analyzed the competitive landscape for various targets and indications, set up alerts for external developments in clinical trials, and prepared PowerPoint presentations on the competitive landscape and commercial estimates. I also gained experience with various databases such as ClinicalTrials.gov, Biomedtracker, PharmaProjects, UpToDate, and SEC Edgar, as well as software including Zoom and Microsoft Office.

This internship provided insights into biopharma including the industry, drug discovery and development functions, a range of therapy modalities, manufacturing, finance, and legal functions. This helped prepare me for future internships with solid context for their work in the biopharma industry.

I worked for 20 hours per week in the Burlington Office as a Business Development Intern. In this position, I conducted market research to help evaluate the company's pharmaceutical pipeline for potential applications in rare metabolic diseases, migrated data regarding business opportunities onto a new database platform, and presented my analysis to the U.S. team.
