- Responsible for the isolation of patient samples in lab from start to finish particularly covid-19, which includes the step process of barcoding, aliquoting, isolating on via flows, running on King Fischer and PCR, then reviewing the data for approval in Harvest.- Currently able to proficiently carry out the isolation of UR/STI samples through to PCR, which includes both outdated and new procedures. Also proficient in the production of UR/STI master mix for plating an abundance of plates.- Assists in training lab members on new procedures including the chain of custody which helped the flow of sample intake, King Fischer log, liquid handler, also enjoys explaining lab processes to interns who show interest in procedures.
