As the President and co-owner of LaurelCrest Capital, I oversee the B2B sales and marketing of high-quality hemp cannabinoid products, including distillates, isolates, and alternatives. LaurelCrest Capital is a cGMP-certified manufacturer based in McMinnville, Oregon, with a state-of-the-art facility and a global customer base. I have more than five years of experience in this role, and I am proud to be an advisory board member of the Oregon Hemp Association, a leading voice for the hemp industry in the state. My passion for natural plant medicine stems from my background in filmmaking, commercial production, and advocacy. I co-directed, produced, and edited Homemade, a feature-length documentary film that explores the effects of post-traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury, and addiction on a US Marine and his wife. The film won multiple awards and grants, and inspired me to pursue a career in the hemp cannabinoid sector, where I can help create products that support and improve the lives of people and communities. I am honored to be part of a family-owned and operated company that is committed to transparency, sustainability, and excellence.

Vp Sales / MarketingLaurelcrest Capital Inc Jul 2018 - PresentMcminnville, Oregon, UsLaurelcrest Capital is a bulk ingredients and finished product B2B Cannabinoid manufacturer based in McMinnville Oregon. At Laurelcrest we believe that access to high quality, safe and effective natural plant medicine is essential to building healthy communities. We strive to support and improve the lives of our employees, our stakeholders and our customers by creating superior products through transparent and sustainable good manufacturing practice, ensuring our products are consistently produced and controlled according to quality standards. My interest in the industry started with my work on a feature length documentary film, Homemade, and witnessing the benefits and theraputic effects of cannabis for veterans struggling with co-morbidities of PTSD, TBI, addiction and transition to civilian life. Michael Bernstein, my father simultaneously invested in Pharma Hemp, a leader in the European Market. The journey since then has been up and down and winding, however my guiding mission has remained rooted in expanding access to safe alternatives to pharmaceutical drugs, improving lives through plant medicine and encouraging natural modalities of healing. -

Producer, Co-Director, EditorHomemade The Film Jan 2012 - PresentHOMEMADE is a five year, cinematic and intimate journey about a marriage, invisible wounds and the effects of Post Traumatic Stress (PTS), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and addiction. Weaving between the monumental landscapes of Utah, Washington DC landmarks, cinéma vérité scenes and recorded phone calls, HOMEMADE tells an intimate story of US Marine Adam Sorensen and his wife Victoria.HOMEMADE was developed from the idea that the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) goes off twice; once in the field, affecting each individual differently depending on a variety of factors including proximity to the blast, physical position and past injuries. There is a second blast that goes off in each family living room as a result of the actual explosion. It’s footprint reaches our closest loved ones, the physicians treating the wounded, and extends into our communities. The film examines the culture of treating symptoms instead of cause and the disconnect between medical care and true wellness. Themes addressed include continuity of care, the epidemic of over-prescription in both military and civilian care, and the stereotypes of injured combat veterans.HOMEMADE aims to close the empathy gap between civilian and military communities, start productive dialogues, and provide audiences with an abundance of tools in order to take action. We are developing a dynamic and measurable impact campaign to highlight and amplify the work already being done to support returning military and their families. Our team is also creating an online platform for those moved by the film to advocate and get involved with organizations that work through domestic needs, research, policy, employment opportunities, the arts and alternative therapy.
