This was an amazing experience programming cultural events such as fashion shows, guest lectures, workshops, gallery openings and book launches. I developed and refined my event management skills and style and learned to project calm and control even under pressure. I recruited and managed a small team of student volunteers for the 2 week long Ulster Festival of Art and Design. I also got a taste for copy writing and editing as the Cultural Development Department produced brochures and fliers to promote events, the festival and the semester long cultural programme.
