The Billing Consultant provides consultation and support to our upfront partners, customers and brokers to ensure a seamless and successful setup of their bills. Our mission is to enhance our customer satisfaction and knowledge as it pertains to Group Benefits billing and initial set up onto Hartford systems with a focus on minimizing the amount of time our customer spends on billing each month. The consultant will assist with billing structure, premium calculations and remittance.

Daily maintenance of Group Reinsurance Plus premium accounts, including, but not limited to, processing premium payments and manually creating monthly receivable files, census and premium reconciliations, reporting, building and maintaining client relationships. Responsible for determining client-level earned premium, creating month-end financial reports for Senior Management, determining and entering month-end journal entries. Partner with all GRP functional areas to provide an outstanding customer experience for our clients. Proven ability to communicate effectively to properly identify issues and implement resolutions that successfully meet the needs of all parties involved. Work closely with our Business Analyst to develop and maintain a Premium Access database for housing all client premium history, as well as create reports to calculate monthly receivables, maintain delinquent case information, and analyze premium data. Received a Special Achievement Award in March 2010 for my work on recovering over $1m in premium from one of our largest clients.

Acted as the relationship manager and liaison between our ten TPAs and all internal customers (i.e Underwriting, Premium, Sales). Developed and maintained excellent and productive relationships with all of our TPA contacts. Worked through TPA service issues, monitored and analyzed Service Level agreements and the reporting associated with the agreements, assisted in implementation of new policies, provided answers to daily questions from internal and external customers, and conducted both desk and on-site audits. Received a Special Achievement Award in November 2006 for extraordinary customer service and relationship management with our TPAs.

Daily maintenance of Group Markets Special Risk premium accounts, including ,but not limited to, processing premium payments, census and premium reconciliations, and reporting, TPA relationships. Demonstrated ability to recommend and implement process improvements within the department.
