From my early teens I have been involved in selling to the public. I have worked in most of the major concert halls in England and Scotland both on & off stage. My roles included setting up stages, manning spotlights / basic lighting systems, theatrical wardrobe management, brief stage appearances, front of house management & the sale of merchandise. By my late teens I was recruiting junior sales staff in central Manchester. I would be expected to conduct telephone interviews, give mass interviews / mass training sessions working on & off script. I love to help people source unique or hard to find vintage and antique collectibles, whether it be for their own collection or as a gift. I find it easy to put myself in the position of the prospective customer and build a presentation that will gain trust, interest and loyalty. Sometimes customers are anxious about the authenticity of valuable items. With this in mind I will not list anything for sale unless I have proof of the maker’s identity or the era in which it was produced. In such a competitive market it is essential to establish a niche. Our speciality is to research and produce a history of the item purchased. This is shipped out with each purchase in the form of a lavishly illustrated scroll. I developed the bespoke gift wrapping feature by offering to design and print messages on the gift tags. I have also managed a show/breeding kennels for over two decades which specialised in one large breed, the Bullmastiff.I have worked in a voluntary capacity for a lady who showed Arab & Anglo Arab horses.SKILLS: CRM, customer relationship manager, recruiting, public speaking, vintage, antiques, collectibles.
