I am a 2012 graduate from Champlain College with a BS in Criminal Justice. I possess a wide range of experience in sales and customer service and have gained strong communication skills from these previous endeavors. I am incredibly detail oriented and organized and have strong note-taking skills. Upon graduation, I worked full time for almost 2 years at the Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society, one of the most rewarding and amazing jobs I have ever had. I have continued there as a pier-diem employee and volunteer ever since. I left in January 2014 to take a job offer from the State of VT Judicial Bureau in an attempt to utilize my criminal justice degree; however, in the end my love for animals won out and 6 months later I took a job at a local emergency vet clinic as a veterinary assistant, receiving on-site job training to eventually become a veterinary technician. Recently, my family relocated and I once again entered the job market where I found a new home at a local general vet practice. Though I do of course hope to someday mix my love of animals with my criminal justice education as an animal cruelty investigator or animal welfare lawyer, I am incredibly content at where I have found myself, doing something that I love and making a difference in the lives of animals :)Specialties: Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point, as well as Macintosh Equivalent Programs, Extensive Studies in Criminal Justice and Law, Knowledge of the Court System, Experience in Handling and Caring for Animals, Knowledge of Veterinary Medicine Practices, Strong Ability in Internet Research, Excellent Organizational and Communication Skills, Severe Attention to Detail, Artistic Ability, Experience in Customer Service and Sales
