Jewellery and Object Design and Making. As a jeweller, designer and artist, I passionately believe in the power of jewellery and objects in our lives - from protective talismans and symbols of commitment and love to political statements and public declarations of independence. Our jewellery is often our most treasured possession and expresses who we are without the need for words.I design and make one-off exhibition pieces, limited edition production ranges and personalised commission pieces. My work ranges from small pieces of precious jewellery to large objects worked in welded steel.My exhibition work is a vehicle to express my concerns, beliefs, frustrations and dreams. Often abstracted forms, both wearables and objects to hold, they are created in a diverse array of materials and speak of identity, memories and emotion.My retail production work consists of collections of elegant, quirky, often colourful jewellery. Ranges of earrings, rings, neckpieces and brooches of carved and painted wood, blackened steel and sterling silver are available from my studio or my lovely stockists http://studio2017.com.auSpecial commissions are often my favourite work. I think of the commissioning process as making dreams come true.
