As the Director of Harvest Operations, I oversee our relationships and day to day production at our harvest facilities. I strive to continually improve our performance and our co-packers performance to deliver the SunFed Ranch promise of Consistent and High Quality 100% Grass Fed and Finished Beef. In addition to production management, I also manage cutout margin and pricing to drive successful growth for SunFed Ranch.

Built SunFed Ranch's Quality Assurance Program including supplier and manufacturer approval programs, recall programs, consumer and customer complaint tracking, and implemented processes coinciding with these programs. Completed shelf life validations studies, risk management assessments, and aided in the creation and implementation of new products.

Created and implemented a proprietary carcass sort program to increase consistency and quality for SunFed Ranch's customers and consumers. Manager of day to day activities as related 3rd party partners (harvest and further processing co-packers, and 3PL cold storage companies).

Account manager specializing in protein sales to retail and food service establishments. Served as a regional resource for beef protein for Cargill Protein. Lead an initiative to track margin in 7 distribution locations, both in the United States and Internationally.

Lead research dissemination of beef checkoff funded research projects, assisted with technical activities for the Beef Innovations Group, performed cutting demonstrations and beef cut exploration sessions for a variety of audiences.

Finished a Thesis project exploring consumer preferences in Strip Loin steak thickness cooked using various, common food service cooking methods. Served as the coach of the 2014 CSU Meat Judging Team which involved organization of all practices, travel to contests and state 4-H/FFA State Meat Judging Contests. Was responsible for all CSU Meat Judging catering events including scheduling of events and helpers, shopping, cooking, serving, and cleaning.
