The purpose of this role is to champion the voice of the customer, delivering authentic and compelling insights about RNIB's key audiences to shape the changes that are needed to improve the lives of blind and partially sighted people. Main Accountabilites:Lead the team's strategic thinking and planning, identifying data and insight requirements from across RNIB and working with stakeholders to scope requirements and shape research priorities.Develop a shared understanding of key trends affecting the lives of blind and partially sighted people and undertake horizon scanning to identify potential opportunities Oversee and conduct a range of complex primary and secondary research and insight projects, ensuring that quality and rigour are maintained in data collection, analysis and reporting. Develop high-quality insights and recommendations with well developed statistics and key messages to inform strategic decision-making and influence policy development, service delivery and fundraising activity. Take ownership for providing a range of well-developed statistics and key messages for use by the sector as a whole. Engage a wide range of internal and external stakeholders with findings and recommendations from Insight projects, working with the Knowledge Management Officer to incorporate the findings in regular Insight briefings and maintaining all relevant content on the Insight Hub Lead and manage members of the team including recruitment, development, performance management and appraisal
