20+ years’ experience working in the neurophysiology field within an NHS trust covering all age ranges across their city centre sites. The last 7 years have been spent within one of only four specialist paediatric epilepsy surgery programmes (PESP) in England, focusing on long term VEEG, SEEG and intraoperative monitoring. A strong team player with excellent communication and patient skills and a wealth of experience reporting seizure activity.Key skills and responsibilities include:• Specialised experience of applying, recording and reporting long term VEEG monitors.• More advanced and complex investigations performed routinely as part of PESP including SPECT (single photon emission computed tomography) scans, SEEG, intraoperative ECoG, intraoperative motor mapping (IOMM) and use of electronic source imaging (ESI)• Ability to perform/report standard EEG’s (inpatient and outpatient), sleep EEG’s, MSLT’s, ambulatory monitors, nerve conduction studies (NCS) and evoked potentials (EP’s).• In depth seizure semiology knowledge.• Neuroanatomy• Able to work to tight deadlines and to prioritise workload depending on clinical needs.• Developing and maintaining patient databases.• Working as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT), and presenting specific neurophysiological findings to them.• Comfortable and competent with working with patients of all ages.• Teaching and mentoring various staffing groups.
