Taking business mindset and team leadership to a new environment. With this position I have been able to grow my skills as a product buyer, learn more about different brands and different shopping patterns in a larger market. Although seasonal this location has a high daily income requiring lots of analytics to ensure merchandising, replenishment and top up orders are on point with what the customer is demanding in the small window we are open. I lead a team of 9 in the retail shop ensuring they are equipped with all the knowledge necessary to be successful in their role. Ensuring customer service is strong and the team has the product knowledge in order to help every customer that walks through the door. As well as handling online orders, the schedule and day to day operations I have assisted and advised on purchasing for the next season.

In this role I managed 3 different accounts through different platforms to showcase what our business has to offer. I have built a plan and schedule for posts to ensure we had quality content in different forms being delivered throughout the week. I coordinated with different areas of the business, others who have captured content during adventures or lessons and third party groups to ensure a large audience is captured. I was also responsible for partnering with different local businesses to support local events and ensure we were cross supporting. I was held accountable for increasing followers, increasing engagement, and turning the engagement into bookings. During my time I have also been able to consult with the owner to give feedback on the shops goods and share advice and observations from what I have experienced.

Achieved the highest earning fiscal year during Covid! Largest part of working with Free Spirit Sports was the product knowledge. Ensuring I had all the information needed to make the right purchasing decisions, pass along the correct information to my team and customers so they are able to do their sports and adventures safely and with comfort. Responsibilities included reviewing different brands catalogs building orders based on business and customer needs. Communication with 40+ sales representatives by phone and email to ensure product was booked in a timely manner, product knowledge was available for the team and to monitor product required in season. Pulling reports to adjust the floor plan and purchasing needs based on sell through, margins, and targets/budgets. Responsibilities included managing the day to day business including cash management, maintaining a clean/branded store, payroll, scheduling etc.

During my time as Store Manager I was able to monitor set targets and put different plans into action to achieve KPI targets, sales results, low turn over, employee and customer satisfaction. I worked to build a team through recruitment, networking, interviewing and hiring to ensure I had the best team in place for different areas of the business. Employee coaching and development, visual merchandising, loss prevention, and Human Resources a few of the areas I focused my management on.I was able to achieve Store Manager of the Year in 2018 as well as after being appointed to two different stores was able to bring them from bottom 10 performing stores to top 10 performing stores in their categories.

I worked under my manager helping run the store. Monitoring the store on daily basis to ensure we are achieving budgets and goals by training and coaching the staff. Helping ensure some of the daily operations are completed: paperwork, opening and closing duties, visual tasks ect.

I completed the visual tasks in the store such as layout and window changes and re merchandising. I also was a assistant manager I coached the team on sales and product knowledge. I oversaw stock and made sure it was completed in a timely manner. For a small amount of time I help create the schedule and make sure all the different availabilities and times off were respected. During my time with company we have initiated a new program and and help my team with the training and learning how to use it. Even though I had many tasks my main focus was alway visual making sure the store was at its full potential and generating dollars the best with the product available. And trust me I have worked with some bare minimum.

My focus was on jeans knowing the product and passing it on to the team and customers. Making sure the walls and tables were set up to display the jeans with their features. I also had management duties at this job.
