I identify and recruit potential research participants to research studies. I support the research delivery teams in the facilitation of efficient, safe and participant focused research. I act as the first point of contact for clinical staff and patients dealing with both face to face and telephone enquiries and correspondence. I collect data from patient medical records and transcribe to Case Report Forms (CRF) as per Good Clinical Practice (GCP). I ensure the maintenance of Investigator Site Files, and that study files are up to date and I take bloods for participants involved in the study. I also work as the coordinator on one of the research studies of interest, linking staff across the trust and with the research team. I allocate patients to staff for data collection and ensure the data is completed within a timely fashion to meet the needs of the research team.

Work with clients on time limited, goal orientated interventions either in the office or in the community. The interventions focus on psychological and social recovery goals agreed with the client to assist in their recovery.

I work with clients within the community to aid their recovery from inpatient or avoid in patient admission.

I support service users with mental health illnesses or recovering from an addiction. I provide 1-1 nursing, check blood pressure, oxygen saturation, pulse, and temperature. I facilitate the activity groups and the female forum group. I use RIO to update service users information and liaise with with service users family members and other professionals. I go through care plans with service users and read them their rights. I supervise service users on excursions outside of the hospital. I serve breakfast according to HSAWA.

My role was to assist guests as their first point of contact and check them in and out as efficiently as possible and deal with any request they may have. I also worked as part of the 'at your service' team where I managed both the internal and external calls from the general public, guests and other members of staff. I had to liaise with other departments to communicate guest’s requests, management requests and general customer enquiries. I was also required to deal with guests complaints to the best of my ability and refer them to management if they wished or if their request required a more senior staff member to authorise.

This was a temporary role as part of my degree. My role as a research assistant required me to work on multiple different tasks as once. I was able to alternate between tasks depending on deadlines, provide updates when required in a timely fashion, give presentations to my colleagues and I gained a great deal of experience in working on qualitative research projects. The papers I assisted on during this placement have been submitted for publication where I will be named as one of the authors.

My main responsibilities were to take customers orders and bring them their desired food and beverages within a given time frame. I had to communicate with the bar and kitchen staff to ensure that the orders were correct and the customers received them promptly. I was also required to deal with any customer complaints and handle them accordingly whether it was a refund on their meal or exchanging their orders for something else. When helping prepare the food and cleaning the dining area, I had to adhere to strict rules following the HASAWA.

I was also required to complete transactions and any refunds or discounts of a certain amount. I handled customer complaints and if they exceeded my refund limit I would consult with my supervisor and direct the customer to them to continue the refund.
