After 3 months of being Furloughed I commenced my role has Material Expeditor for the Burnley side of the Aerospace Business in September 2020.Working directly for the Supply Chain Manager, responsible for the following tasks:• Sourcing consumables, fasteners and non-technical parts• Raising purchase orders and monitoring progress to ensure required dates are achieved without delays• Liaising with external Outside Special Process facilities•Raising purchase orders on OSP's and monitoring progress to support production requirements• Securing/negotiating priority changes with the OSP's as required• Arranging transportation to and from OSP's and other 3rd party suppliers• Creating End User Statements for US supply chain• Dealing with US Freight and Clearance

Once my apprenticeship came to an end I was given the opportunity to move departments when this position became available.My job role includes:• Dealing with suppliers and customers on a daily basis via telephone and face to face interaction• Organising meeting agenda’s both internally and externally• Raising purchase orders on suppliers for the different part numbers and raising sales orders from the customers in order for the parts to be sold within the system• Keeping track of all deliveries, retrieving updates on a regular basis and keeping customer informed daily on their required orders• Maintaining the up keep of spread sheets for each of the suppliers deliveries and orders Generating the supplier schedules • Keeping parts details/notes and data updated and maintained in the system• Visiting suppliers on a monthly basis to conduct programme and business reviews, ensuring that all necessary details are acquired in order to feed back in to the customer the status of their orders

I began working at MB Aerospace at August 2005 as an office apprentice through Burnley College.My role included :• Greeting visitors on a regular basis and making them feel welcomed with refreshments• Handling the post and distributing where necessary around the company• Dealing with the incoming invoices and working closely with the accounts department, helping them with any queries that occurred• Organising transport and accommodation for both employees and visitors • Handling the bookings for the company Poole car, making sure regular vehicle checks where done and the relevant insurance documents were passed to the driver• Organising regular eyesight tests when necessary for the employees of the company • Held responsibility of keeping the petty cash system up to date and the money in check • Raising purchase and sales orders for the company for both miscellaneous and non-miscellaneous items
