The role has responsibilty to deliver a capital works programme in 2011/2012 to the value of $4.8 million and oversees an operating budget of $17.56 million.

Following a recent structural review I was promoted to the Manager Major Projects. I have direct accountability to the General Manager and I am responsible for delivery of key organizational projects. These project rely on a whole of organization response for success. I was selected for the position based on my broad experience, big picture thinking and my consistent track record for delivery.As part of the role I am also called on to represent the General Manager at various high level meetings and events with local MPs, Ministers and heads of State Agencies. Internally I am required to brief the Council, various committees and precinct committees.

Responsible for managing the delivery of the following services to and with the community: • Libraries• Community Development, and Community Education• Customer Service• Sport and Recreation Development• Open Space, Parks and Reserves (total 409), including lifeguard services• Community Building and Facilities Management, • Asset management of 167 community buildings• Volunteer management I was responsible for 182 permanent staff and a budget responsibility of $23M.

Responsible for managing and leading the Development Assessment, Engineering and Compliance functions of Council. During my time in this role, Wyong Council processed the fifth largest total volume of applications in the State with a total of 2561. For the two years I managed the unit the Council achieved the lowest determination time of all Councils in NSW. Along with these applications, Wyong also processed a large volume of construction and subdivision certificates. In the role of Manager I was responsible for over 60 staff and an annual budget of close to $1.3 M.Key to success in this position was facilitating the approval of development to encourage growth in employment for the Shire whilst balancing the important social and environmental attributes of the Shire.
