I am responsible for grades K to 8th grade. They come in to have reading time or extra English/Literacy instructional support. I create engaging activities that tie into what they are learning in their classrooms, teach them how to start and finish book reports, encourage free writing and reading time, and show them how to utilize the library for personal and research use. I am responsible for cataloging every book we receive, create accounts with different vendors, research top books for various grade levels, and organize the general library area. I also do DIBELS for the 7th grade students (Core, Strategic, and Intensive).

I processed manuscript materials in order to create coherent collections. This processed involved reading through the manuscript material, determine subject matter, orgainze, file, and label according to a desired order, create a finding guide, and upload guide to Arizona Archives Online.As a senior student worker, I helped to facilitate trainings of 9 student workers in which online trainings are explained, shelving tests and paging tests are administered, and scanning procedures are demonstrated. I also rewrote several of the student trainings to keep them up to date with the current procedures required at Special Collections and Archives.I took part in helping with front desk procedures when needed. This required helping patrons each week in finding research materials, filling out request for materials, answering questions about the current exhibit, and directing them to other resources.As a student worker, I worked on short term and long term projects involving document and photographic preservation. The preservation processed involved understanding two separate digital scanners, the editing process for both documents and photographs in photoshop, and uploading into the cloud.

I processed the Melick Collection for the Arizona Historical Society. The collection is available at Cline Library in the Special Collections and Archives department. Information about the collection can be found on Arizona Archives Online.

My responsibilities included helping take attendance, planning a discussion, planning out of class activities, encouraging student participation in both the classroom and in the Honors program, and as a liaison between the students and the teacher.

My responsibilities included cleaning the stadium before and after every show, making sure all attendees found their appropriate seats, and answered questions about the show.
