• Manages and executes a clinical trial employing the use of a novel fluorescence imaging device and fluorescent contrast drug to address intraoperative surgical margins during breast conservation surgery including all regulatory, logistical and scientific aspects• Obtained and maintains federal and institutional regulatory approvals for the trial including REB protocols, research pharmacy contracts, Heath Canada CTA for ALA, CSA approval for medical device• Liaises with breast cancer surgeons, nurses, OR staff, anesthesiologists, pharmacists and scientists to develop standard operating procedures for safely and successfully implementing the device and drug• Characterized the medical device and optimized for intraoperative use and gained CPD/IPAC approval• Leads patient consent procedures, data collection as well as data analysis and presentation • Manufactured medical device prototype (all hardware, electrical components) under UHN medical engineering standards and performed quality safety testing

• Characterized the structure-function relationship of the lungs in asthma using x-ray computed tomography and hyperpolarized 3He magnetic resonance imaging, summarized findings in a manuscript• Assisted in clinical data collection including performing pulmonary function testing and working with the MRI technician to acquire proton and helium MRI lung images as described by written protocol• Implemented new software technology Pulmonary Workstation as a method to provide structural measurements of anatomical components of the lung to improve the data collected for analysis
