ideaX Program Coordinator - Outreach Service Specialist. Developed and implemented programming for two Maker Spaces (Bellevue and Federal Way). Lead design and implementation of the project that included developing mobile kits to deliver modular makerspace programs to all KCLS libraries. Trained librarian staff, developed curriculum, and taught classes fo all libraries. Worked with KCLS Foundation apply for and receive a 2.1 million dollar grant to build two makerspaces and implement mobile system kits for the entire library system. Worked to administer terms of grants from multiple funding sources. Managed financial resources and staff to ensure successful delivery of all aspects of the grants, project goals and individual branch goals. Worked with Adult Services team to develop technology programming for older adults including memory programs, recorded stories, and basic technology skills. The Public Service Specialist works with different organizations throughout King County to bring technology skills to their patrons. For example, I work with Refugee Centers, WorkSource, homeless shelters, and safe houses to teach computer and job searching skills. I work with retirement homes, senior centers and community centers to bring technology skills to their populations. I also develop youth programs and work with free lunch programs, community centers, schools and other resources to provide fun, engaging computer classes (STEM) to the youth in King County.
