When I was in third grade, my family and I took a trip to Bay Head beach where we discovered that the shore was lined with starfish. Later I would learn that they came as a result of a tide that carried them to New Jersey, but at the time I thought it was magic. I spent hours tossing them back into the water so they would not dry up, and this event triggered my passion for environmentalism. I have already gained experiences working with others in the Marine Biology field, my most recent being with submerged aquatic vegetation and abandoned fishing gear. I assessed the health of seagrass systems in New Jersey then hypothesized how climate change would be affecting these results. Overall, I am hardworking, dependable, and even a bit of a perfectionist. I am not afraid to take things a step beyond to better something, even if it is not required. In the future, I am hoping to work with larger marine species and the interconnectedness of marine ecosystems. AKA/Common Misspellings: Dani Dyson, Daniele Dyson
