Options for Success & VCAP (Virtual Credit Advancement Program), Grades K-12 Supervise Alternative Education Programs designed to provide students and families with alternative to potential drop-outs, suspensions and expulsions from school. Created and implemented a data based Individualized Blended Learning Model for instruction in the Options for Success Program.o For all students who completed the Options for Success Program during the 2017-18 school year, there was a 56.25% decrease in Level 3 discipline for those students after returning to traditional school for the remainder of the school year. Partners with the Korda Institute for Teaching to implement both a new entrepreneurial course and Korda Methods Teaching Strategies for the Options for Success Program. Directs the day-to-day operations of VCAP and the Options for Success programs. o Duties include hiring, training, counseling and evaluating staff performance. Prepares and administers program budgets. Supports the development, implementation and monitoring of student's IEP, as applicable, while maintaining the on-going compliance of special education regulations (state and federal), including the implementation of due process procedures for both programs. Supervises VCAP which enables students to complete their high school diploma requirements online choosing from a full complement of courses for enrichment; including courses in literature, history, science, mathematics, physical education and health.o For the 2017-18 school year, supervised students and teachers participating in the VCAP program who earned a total of 1920.5 credits towards graduation.o Manages staff and students in participating in VCAP responsible for the 35% of all graduates from Columbus City Schools have taken at least one VCAP course during their four-year high school career.
