There have always been two passions in my life; teaching and photography.Starting in high school I was deeply interested in the students with special needs on our campus; I was compelled to help them in their academic and social lives. For four years I was a student aide for students with moderate to severe special needs and I knew that I that I was going to be a Special Education Teacher. At this time I also developed a passion for American Sign Language because it allowed me to communicate with my students who were non-verbal. In my senior year of high school, I became a student ASL interpreter for some of those students and I worked closely with the American Sign Language Teacher as she taught students who were both Deaf and had a disability.In high school, I was also on the dance team and I coordinated to have girls with special needs perform with us for our Spring Show. It brought me joy seeing how much both typical high school girls and high school girls with special needs enjoyed dancing with each other. In junior college, I earned an Associates Degree in ASL for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. I also become as freelance ASL Interpreter and my main client was Disneyland. I interpreted for Deaf and Hard of Hearing cast members in their job trainings and meetings. I also interpreted for several live shows in both Disneyland and California Adventure. At CSUF I earned my Bachelors in Liberal Arts and my Education Specialist Credential for Mild/Mod Special Education. Since I received an A in my courses, I also earned my Autism Specialist credential as well.Throughout my life, I have always had a camera in my hand. Composition came naturally to me and I enjoyed taking pictures while I traveled around the world. In December 2016, I started my own photography business; Magnolia Morning Photography. I now enjoy promoting my business on social media platforms and capturing beautiful moments on camera.
