I oversaw the copy editing and proofreading at TATGirl magazine. I edited contributor submissions so they adhered to the style guide and ensured the magazine’s content was error free. I also liaised with the designer. I appraised their mock-ups so that each issue was structurally correct and atheistically pleasing.

I provided communications, marketing and event management support to the marketing team. During my time at Moodle I developed content for the corporate blog, social media channels and EDMs. I worked on two major product releases - Moodle 3.1 and 3.2. I wrote a series of blog posts on the key features of Moodle 3.1. These blog posts have received some of the highest engagement on Moodle's social media channels. I was also responsible for the official communications of Moodle 3.2. This includes the announcement on the corporate blog, official press release and software feature blogs. I was heavily involved with the event support and promotion for Moodle's annual edtech conference: MoodleMoot Australia. Leading up to the event, I interviewed sponsors and presenters, gathered quotes for conference materials, confirmed attendee information and aggregated final guest lists. During the event, I interviewed attendees, speakers and sponsors, photographed and assisted with the official write up on the corporate blog.

I was commissioned to write a report on how the Foundation could grow its online supporter base and raise its profile as a separate entity to the State Library. I produced an in-depth digital engagement strategy report that addressed current weaknesses in the Foundation’s online presence and developed marketing and advertisement strategies that required no financial investment. Recommendations in the report were later used for the Foundation’s On the Homefront appeal. At present, the online campaign has raised $2520.
