Serving as a trainee and team member on audits or other assignments for external entities involved in the international import, export, or facilitation of merchandise into or out of the United States.Our examination process involves meticulous scrutiny of records, books, ledgers, purchase vouchers, inventory receipts, and other documents. This is to ensure that transactions are properly supported per DHS/CBP and/or other Partner Government Agencies (PGA) laws and regulations.Documenting work performed, audit conclusions, findings, and recommendations in work papers and audit reports clearly and concisely. Assisting in communicating findings and recommendations that may impact an auditee's decision to enhance its import/export operating procedures or result in penalties or other enforcement actions.Ensuring audit program timelines and budgeted hours are met is essential for completing audits promptly. This involves preparing audit documentation by recording information, records, conditions, and findings in a prescribed format or report. If there are any unusual or questionable transactions, or if problems arise that do not fit the given instructions or guidelines, it is important to refer them to a supervisor or a higher-level auditor.
