About Danielle Facey
After graduating from the University of Birmingham, I trained at the 'Outstanding' Heartlands Academy in Birmingham, as a Secondary Teacher of English. I completed my Initial Teacher Training and my NQT year there as an Ofsted observed 'Outstanding' Teacher. During my time there, I took on various responsibilities including: creating original, engaging, differentiated schemes of work; managing the Accelerated Reader programme in KS3 and redesigning the pupils' planners for KS3 and KS4.I am dedicated to empowering young people through education and instilling in them a passion for lifelong learning. Having moved to the UAE in 2012, I am currently completing a Masters degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language at the University of Birmingham whilst leading the Prep School English team at the independent Prep and Senior school, Brighton College Abu Dhabi.
