Industry placement year. Assisting the waste and recycling team at Northwards housing to reduce waste and encourage recycling in their social housing stock across North Manchester. This project based team has worked most notably to minimise the effects of the forthcoming residual waste reduction in high rise blocks from government. As one of the major stakeholders in the social housing sector, they will be majorly affected by the changes in high rise general waste reductions. I have been fortunate enough to have been a part of the team implementing strategies and solutions in achieving a 50% reduction rate across the stock. Since completing my placement year, I have worked in multiple positions at Northwards throughout the organisation in different departments.

Supervision of various bar sizes and events in attendance of up to 21,000 roles to include briefing of staff members, cash handling, delegation of tasks, stock take/rotation and team motivation. This role involves large responsibility and effective communication with management to enable the smooth running of events.
