Danielle is a water resource strategist, urban planner, and educator who has worked in the water sector for over 15 years. She combines her expertise in the water and planning sectors, with her experience in the arts and collaboration building to equitably and holistically address the complex water challenges facing communities today. Danielle has a BA in Business Management and an MA in Urban Planning and Policy. Her previous experience in private equity provides her a unique perspective on the relationship between financial markets, the built environment, and natural resource management. Prior to starting Waterwell, Danielle served as Director of Water Resources for the Metropolitan Planning Council (MPC) in Chicago, IL. Danielle is an active member in the water sector, serving as an adjunct instructor at the University of Illinois at Chicago, steering committee member for the American Planning Association’s Water and Planning Network, and member of the American Water Works Association (AWWA), where she has sat on a number of committees including as chair of the Water Efficiency Committee for the Illinois Section. With a background in the performing arts, Danielle is deeply passionate about the role artists can play in contributing to creative solutions, and brings a multi-disciplinary approach to her work.
