I am leading a project funded by the Higher Education Innovation Fund: ‘Energising UK collaboration for low carbon energy in the developing world’. The project aims to foster knowledge transfer and bring together UK businesses, policy makers and the academic community working in the area of low carbon energy and international development. I am member of the Low Carbon Energy for Development Network (LCEDN; www.lcedn.com) – which has emerged as a key platform for bringing together the multiple sectors and organisations active in this field. I am currently undertaking secondments with the Energy Generation and Supply Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) and International Climate Fund team at the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC), to examine appropriate channels for academic-policy-business interfacing.
