The primary responsibility for Teaching Affiliates is to lead a cohort of incoming teaching assistants (TAs) through a day-long workshop at TA Orientation. These workshops familiarize new TAs with the challenges and opportunities of working as TAs at Vanderbilt. I served as a TA for Dr. Chris Janetopoulos (2014) and Dr. R. Jason Pitts (2015, 2016, 2017) in the class "Cell Biology Lab" in which we taught 40 undergraduates per semester the basics of cellular biology through 16 weekly hand-on experiments. My main duties in this role were to help with laboratory procedures, grade and hold office hours. I also helped to develop some of the lab exercises and occassionally delivered the introductory lecture.

I edited manuscripts such that the final text was in standard scientific English and free of unclear or unidiomatic sentences. My subject-area was Medicine.
